CeaseFire Philadelphia, inspired by the larger CeaseFire initiative, is a public health-driven program aimed at reducing street violence in Philadelphia. Leveraging the Cure Violence model, they treat violence as an epidemic that can be stopped by mediating conflicts, preventing retaliation, and changing social norms. Through a combination of street-level outreach, public education campaigns, and community mobilization, CeaseFire Philadelphia strives to make the city streets safer for everyone.
